Confortel
Confortel is the company that manages CEOSA’s hotel chain. As of 31st December 2006, it includes thirteen establishments, which include three and four-star hotels, as well as aparthotels, distributed across the Spanish territory in golf and beach resorts and city centres.
Throughout 2006, Confortel has expanded the number of establishments with the opening of four new hotels, one in Calas de Conil (Cadiz), another in Barcelona and two in Valencia. These new incorporations are the result of an important expansion plan in which the chain is immersed, through which it plans to manage 22 hotels by the year 2009.
The opening of the Barcelona establishment, Confortel-Auditori, has consolidated the position initiated in the previous financial year in Barcelona, and is a relevant step within the chain’s strategic objective regarding its presence in the main business cities in our country.
In this financial year, the Confortel Aqua complex has also opened for business with 320 rooms, including one 3-star and one 4-star establishment. It is an establishment that also stands out due to its modern facilities and its excellent location within the current area of urban development in Valencia, next to the City of the Arts and Sciences.
As regards the Confortel Calas de Conil, it is a four-star hotel with 295 rooms right on the beach front, in which, for the first time, the hotel chain has introduced the “All Inclusive” system.
Besides these new openings, important renovation work has been carried out in various establishments within the chain, as part of the strategy and philosophy to improve products and services. This includes the following establishments: Confortel Islantilla (Huelva), Confortel Badajoz and Confortel Suites Madrid.
Within the works scheduled we can highlight the exemplary work to break down architectonic and urban barriers, as well as the adaptation of these hotels to the change in corporate image and identity recently introduced in the chain.
In the commercial area, the hotel chain has continued to working throughout this financial year on the development and introduction of new products and services, among which we can highlight those aimed at business guests in city hotels, such as free WiFi or broadband connection, extension of check-out times in order to adapt to the business guests’ flight times. At beach hotels, the following have been promoted: the “Spa Center”, nursery services, etc.
Other actions carried out to promote the Hotel Chain’s commercial work include its presence at various events and fairs, such as FITUR (International Tourism Trade Fair) and ITB Berlin, which are both exceptional settings in order to formalise a significant number of commercial relationships.
As of 31st December 2006, the total staff at Confortel rose to 485 employees, of which 32 are disabled.
