In September 1997, a partnership agreement was signed by the ONCE General Management, the University School of Physiotherapy and the ONCE Business Corporation, under which the latter would create the company Clínica Universitaria de Fisioterapia, S.L. and its brand name REVITASS.
The role of the ONCE Business Corporation in REVITASS is to provide sales support and general image and advertising assistance to physiotherapists affiliated with the ONCE who decide to become self-employed, thus assisting their integration into the labor market by creating a mechanism for associating with the REVITASS brand name under specific conditions of quality and image control and reasonable expectations of good business management.
Revitass physiotherapy clinics, located at various points throughout the Spanish mainland, specialize in providing physiotherapy services offered by highly qualified disabled personnel -currently over 50- employing the most advanced technical resources.
In the area of commercial support, the special offers for ONCE members resulted in a boost for the clinics thanks to the acceptance of these offers by the target audience. In the past year, commercial agreements were signed with companies such as the Almaraz and Trillo nuclear plants, the Alentis Group and the HNA Group, among others.
In the area of human resources, REVITASS engaged in important training activities aimed at promoting the self-employment of blind and partially sighted physiotherapists.
So as to expand the coverage it offers its client companies, Revitass went to great lengths to sign collaborative agreements with the C.E.E. Physiotherapy Clinics, which have a greater national presence. This endeavor resulted in the signing of contracts with the Femapic Clinic in Cordoba.
The Clinica Universitaria - the center that founded REVITASS- closed out the year with a staff of 17, of whom 16 (94.1%) were disabled, 15 of these being ONCE members.
