Throughout the 2006 financial year, the Viajes 2000 Travel Agency has maintained sustainable growth in its travel handling activity for individuals and companies.
In this financial year, the business line developed by the company “Un Turismo para Todos” (Tourism for Everyone), which arose with the objective of responding to the tourism needs of disabled persons, has confirmed its definitive consolidation within the company. Along these lines, a series of initiatives have been carried out, such as extending the database of accessible tourist products and services and, subsequently, establishing contacts and commercial agreements in order to promote the product among the different associations related to the world of disability.
With the aim of promoting both this new line and the traditional lines of Travel Agencies, throughout this financial year, Viajes 2000 has intensified its presence in congresses and national and international forums.
As regards branch management, throughout 2006 the renovation and refurbishment process has concluded across the entire network of Viajes 2000 branches.
The figure for the total staff at Viajes 2000 shows that 22% of the 59 staff registered as of 31st of December 2006 are disabled.
