Tepesa Alentis selected to provide expert training to fire-fighters and soldiers
The Safety and Mobility Department at Madrid City Council has selected Tepesa Alentis to provide specialised fire training for the fire fighting service of Madrid City Council’s Fire fighting Corps.
The subjects that make up the courses have an important practical component and they will take place at the Tepesa Alentis high performance fire fighting centre in Brunete, Madrid.
Madrid City Council’s Firefighters will initially be given expert training in fire fighting in confined spaces; rescue in traffic accidents and orientation in fires and mobility in low or zero visibility conditions.
Line rescue at Tepesa Alentis: Training for staff of the Ministry for Defence
Tepesa Alentis, the specialised Alentis Group company, will train Ministry for Defence staff from the Fire-fighter centre at Graña in Ferrol, the Zaragoza Air Base and the Gómez Ulla Hospital in Madrid in line rescue operations.
The Tepesa Alentis instructors responsible for giving the course are experts, mostly trained at the International Fire Training Centre in Texas (USA), which has a worldwide reputation.
A great deal of the line rescue equipment and techniques come from climbing, although they are simplified. The equipment used is simpler and safer. The rescue techniques with portable materials that help people trapped in shafts, injured at high levels of structures with no access by normal means, etc. shall be included in the training.
Companies such as ENDESA, HOLCIN, CEPSA, etc. have already been trained in this rescue technique by Tepesa Alentis, whose aim is to take the concept of self-protection and experience in the transfer and assistance to victims, beyond line experts, or in other words, to all personnel related to personal protection teams at factories or in buildings.
Safety driving courses and evasive driving techniques for staff of the State Vehicle Fleet
The Tepesa Alentis driving division is offering two courses on Evasive Driving and High Risk Driving to 70 students of the State Vehicle Fleet.
These courses, which have a high practical component, take place at the Tepesa Alentis high performance driving centre in Brunete, Madrid.
Students, drivers of senior Government members, participate in an advanced driving course (course of bends, emergency braking, control of the vehicle on slippery surfaces etc.) as well as in an evasive manoeuvres course (“Y” turns, “J” turns and precision intervention, etc.). These courses, which have an extremely high level of difficulty, also include some special manoeuvres, such as “Lateral Movements”, which aim to “force” a supposed aggressive vehicle off the road.
To carry out these courses, the Tepesa Alentis driving division has conventional vehicles and two reinforced vehicles.
