Pilsa Alentis of Grupo Alentis (the services company group of Corporación Empresarial ONCE, or CEOSA) has been awarded a contract to provide commercial cleaning services in three of the most important buildings of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, namely, Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe (an innovative interactive science museum), L’Umbracle Garden (a landscape scenic viewpoint featuring a large parking area), and L’Hemisféric (IMAX and digital cinema theatre).

With an exhibition surface area of 26,000 square metres, the Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe ranks among the most visited museums in Spain. In 2000, it welcomed as many as 23M visitors. As to L’Hemisféric, its impressive facilities include a 100-metre-long ovoid cover and the biggest IMAX screen available in Spain (900 square metres). Finally, L’Umbracle covers 17,500 square metres. Pilsa is to keep all three places spick and span.

Among other reasons, the contract was awarded to Pilsa for its adequate assessment of the project, better technical proposal, and lower budget. A further strength was the fact that 80% staff would be provided by Pilsa’s Special Employment Centre, CEEPILSA, giving jobs to disabled workers.
CEOSA’s Grupo Alentis comprises 18,000 professionals across Spain, providing services in eight main business lines: Environment, Integrated Maintenance, Commercial Cleaning, Security, Complementary Services, Temporary Employment, Surveillance Systems, and Professional Training in Fire Safety and Driving.
