CEOSA's gender equality policy reaches all the corporation's companies

15/1/2007

Equality policies are a key integration element to CEOSA, just as they are in parent brand ONCE.

At this time of year, all companies take stock of the financial year that has passed, thoroughly analysing facts and figures. In the case of CEOSA, figure analysis reveals that there are quite many women in executive positions throughout the corporation. Therefore, it can be said that, in this sense, last year’s results have been really positive, reinforcing our commitment to gender equality.

Facts show that there is still a long way to go in terms of gender equality in executive positions in companies across Spain. Nevertheless, the group has made a clear bet on mixed executive teams, which contribute leadership qualities and multiperspective management, thus increasing business and social profitability.

Grupo ONCE fosters integration at all levels, in the belief that a company’s management and staff become stronger when they include both men and women.

The managerial staff at the Corporate Centre and at each company in the corporation have proved to have team-building skills, leadership qualities, and strategic vision, traits that do not depend on a person’s gender. Therefore, the talent scouts at the HR Department of CEOSA are against all forms of sex-based discrimination.

These principles are reflected in the corporation’s staff factsheets, and the group’s business results speak of their success. At the Corporate Centre, 25% of executive and 28.5% of middle management positions are held by women.

As for the group’s companies, in the different locations of Confortel Hoteles, women hold 50% of managerial positions, while in company’s headquarters they account for 20% of management. In Viajes 2000, they hold 66% of management positions, and in SEGURONCE, 40% managers are women. Thus, it can be said that CEOSA’s companies abide by and reflect the group’s gender equality policy.
