CEOSA, Progress in equality policies
28/1/2010
Latest meeting of CEOSA’s “Corporate Equality Commission”
On 9th December, CEOSA’s ‘Corporate Equality Commission’ met for the second time since its constitution in May 2009. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the different actions carried out by companies belonging to the ONCE Business Corporation and to highlight the avenues to be pursued in the immediate future to continue supporting the launch of new policies and actions required to promote and guarantee equal opportunities for men and women at CEOSA.
The Commission, chaired by Raquel Gómez, corporate director of Organisation and Human Resources, strives not only to ensure compliance with current legislation as regards Equality (LO 3/2007), but also to “spread the equality policies defined by law to all companies, even though they are not obliged to implement them”. Its mission is to “establish the foundations for action in order to make progress in the achievement and acceptance of the principle of equality as a corporate culture with the explicit commitment to recognise it as a core transversal principle for all the companies that make up the Corporation”.
