Triumph of tourism for all at Fitur

9/2/2006

This year Fitur celebrated its XXVI edition, at which Confortel and Viajes 2000 were present once again.

As we revealed in our last edition, from 25 until 29 January the XXVI edition of the International Tourism Fair, Fitur, took place at the Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I exhibition venue in Madrid, reaffirming its reputation as one of the most important events on the international tourism scene in bringing together more than 11,500 participants from 170 countries. At this edition, the CEOSA companies Confortel Hoteles and the retail agent Viajes 2000 (which shared a stand with Vía Libre (Fundosa Accesibilidad), of Grupo Fundosa) were exhibitors once again.

Numerous managers from ONCE and its Foundation, including the president of the organisation, Miguel Carballeda, who attended on Friday 27 February, relevant representatives from associations for disabled people, as well as personalities from the field of sport and the arts gathered at this event in order to show their support for the “Tourism for All” programme, which Viajes 2000 specifically has been promoting, together with its colleagues at Vía Libre and other important representatives from the tourism sector who are committed to the project; not only the Confortel chain, but also companies such as Iberia, Renfe, Aena, etc.

Confortel took advantage of the aforementioned showcase to present its forthcoming 2006 hotel openings, such as its Aqua hotels (in their 3 and 4-star versions), in Valencia; the Confortel Calas de Conil, in Cádiz, and the Confortel Auditori, in Barcelona, among others.

Both stands received a large number of visitors who were able to learn about Confortel, Viajes 2000 and Vía Libre’s new products first hand. At the end of the exhibition, the ONCE companies and Foundation expressed their satisfaction at having been able to benefit from such a unique event and promote commercial activities which will facilitate their future development.
