On 3 March, the Confortel Hotels chain opened the Confortel Auditori, in Barcelona, a 3-star superior establishment situated at C/ Sicilia 166-170, in the heart of Barcelona, a characteristic shopping and business district which is very close to the new Auditorium and to the Catalonia National Theatre.  As such, as the general manager of the chain, José Ángel Preciados, points out “we are taking a new and important step towards our strategic objective, that of having a presence in the main Spanish business cities”.

It is a newly built modern hotel, with a total of 108 rooms, all of them with air-conditioning, a free WIFI or ADSL connection, pay-satellite TV and the free business class services which Confortel offers all business clients, used to travelling  and who request value-added services such as these.

Confortel Auditori, also has comprehensive facilities with a bar-restaurant in which you can sample a simple, innovative and personal restaurant service; garage; landscaped courtyard; heated swimming pool with solarium and gymnasium, as well as three meeting and function rooms with a capacity for 100 people.

Along with the 4-star Confortel Almirante Barcelona and Caleta Park hotels (the latter in Gerona), the Auditori is the chain’s second hotel in Barcelona and the third in Catalonia, figures which will increase next year with the scheduled opening of the Confortel Barcelon@.

The opening of the Auditori, as Preciados acknowledges, “maintains the chain’s phase of definite expansion” continued this year by the opening of the first Confortel establishments in Conil de la Frontera (Cadiz) and Valencia.
