Revitass, Agreement with ENDESA
13/4/2010
Revitass will be responsible for physiotherapy treatments for electricity company workers.
The CEOSA healthcare company, Revitass, has recently come to an agreement with ENDESA to provide physiotherapy treatments to employees of the electricity company. This agreement is nationwide, wherever ENDESA has its own offices, meaning around 6,000 company employees throughout Spain can benefit from treatments provided by Revitass physiotherapists free of charge, as Endesa will cover all costs involved in the treatments provided to its employees.
The agreement covers two types of treatment: those carried out “in-company” (at the Endesa offices) and those carried out at the Revitass clinics. More specifically, to date, there are 13 centres run by blind or visually impaired physiotherapists, located in Barcelona, Seville, Madrid, Zaragoza, Malaga, Almería, Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Isla de La Palma, Badajoz, Córdoba, La Coruña and Palma de Mallorca.
The Revitass physiotherapy clinics, located throughout mainland Spain, are specialised in the provision of physiotherapy services by highly qualified professionals with a disability, boasting the most advanced technical means. In addition, they carry out research and prevention projects, which contribute to improving procedures and more rapid patient evolution within the highest standards of quality. Agreements such as this are brought about by Spanish legislation which requires private companies with more than 50 employees to include at least 2 percent of people with disabilities in its workforce (5 percent in the case of the civil service); offering organizations which are unable to fulfil this quota, on technical, organizational grounds or those of another nature, a series of alternative measures, such as the acquisition of goods or services from a Special Employment Centre (companies made up of people with disabilities) or a disabled self-employed worker, or by making a donation to a Foundation or Association declared to be of public utility.
